Location and setting

Royal Zebra River Safari Lodge is located in Kenya’s Maasai Mara Game Reserve, along the Talek River. The lodge is designed as a small, intimate safari property, with accommodation for up to 16 guests across eight VIP suites. Its main area looks towards the open plains of the Maasai Mara, providing a setting where guests can spend time observing the surrounding landscape and, depending on wildlife movements, may see animals in the area. The Talek River is also part of the lodge’s natural setting. Wildlife may come to the river to drink, while the plains can provide views of animals moving through the landscape. During the migration period, herds of wildebeest and zebra may also be visible from the lodge.

Accommodation experience

Royal Zebra River Lodge has eight VIP Suites, divided into five Savannah Suites and three Forest Suites. The lodge operates as an all-inclusive safari lodge and is open year-round. The accommodation is intended for a relatively small number of guests, giving the property an intimate character within the Maasai Mara setting.

Facilities and guest experience

The main lodge area includes spacious indoor and outdoor lounges, dining spaces, a fully stocked bar and a live cooking area. A campfire provides an evening gathering point, while the swimming pool offers a place to relax during the warmer parts of the day while looking towards the Mara plains. Depending on the selected package, the stay can include meals, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, laundry service, a private butler, a 60-minute Swedish body massage per guest per stay, sundowners, walking safaris, bubbly breakfasts and private room service. Private dinners under the stars are also offered when weather permits.
