Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Amboseli Sopa Lodge is a safari lodge set on 200 acres of private land at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, on the edge of Amboseli National Park. The lodge is surrounded by mature gardens planted with acacias, thorn trees, frangipanis, bougainvillea and giant cacti, creating a green setting for a stay in the Amboseli area. Amboseli National Park is approximately a 20-minute drive from the lodge.

The lodge has 83 rooms arranged in individual cottages spread across the gardens. Accommodation includes rooms with one king-size bed, one queen-size bed or two queen-size beds, with verandas providing outdoor space. Six rooms have interconnecting doors, while selected rooms can be converted to triples on request. The lodge also has rooms suitable for physically challenged guests, a honeymoon suite and a two-bedroom Presidential Suite. Guests can dine at Kibo Restaurant or enjoy drinks at Mawenzi Bar, Hemingway's Bar and the Pool Bar. An outdoor dining terrace provides another setting for meals, while the swimming pool offers a place to relax between activities. The lodge also has a gift shop, handicraft market, conference facilities and Wi-Fi in public areas. The surrounding gardens provide opportunities for bird watching and occasional encounters with wildlife such as monkeys, mongooses, squirrels, duikers and gazelles. Guests can also arrange game drives and nature walks, while other experiences include sundowners, bush and outdoor dining, bird watching and traditional dances. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed and depend on animal movements, season and local conditions.
